What is a responsive website?
A responsive site automatically scales for ease of use via desktop, tablet or mobile devices. It is built to adapt to various device screens, so your site will be ready for future tech releases and new smartphones and tablets.
What does this mean for you?
Your new website will deliver a much better search and overall experience for users. With a responsive site, you no longer need a separate mobile site, and Google will see your site as ‘mobile friendly,’ which is helpful for ranking higher in search results.
What do you need to do before May 2nd?
Check your website to see if you are already using one of the wide-format design templates flagged ‘NEW’ in My Office (see samples below). If you are using an older layout and have customized your profile information or site content and want your customizations to remain in place, you will need to change your current site to one of the wide-format design templates prior to Monday, May 2nd.
