Using the HomeFinder Pro Wizard

HomeFinder Pro is an automated report for newly active or sold properties that you can provide your clients. This report has more specific criteria than what is offered at the HomeFinder website, and it can only be set up by the agent.

Here is how to set up the HomeFinder Pro wizard:

 To access the HomeFinder Pro wizard:

    1. At My Office click RESOURCES then Single Sign On
    2. Click Create PIP/HF Pro. This opens a five step wizard

Step 1: Name the HomeFinder Pro

  1. Create a name for the HomeFinder Pro (for your reference only to help retrieve it in the future)
  2. Click the down arrow at Please Choose. Select Home Finder.
  • Click Next

Step 2: Enter the Contact Name

  1. Browse to the existing contact in your contact list and select it, or
  2. Create a new contact within the wizard (it will automatically post that new contact into your contact list)
  • Click Next

 Step 3: Enter the Search Criteria

    1. Click Edit
    2. Perform either the regular or map search
      1. Regular Search
        1. Verify MLS Board
        2. Enter search criteria
        3. Click Count/Search
        4. Review results to confirm appropriate properties are found (you do not select properties for this automated report, just confirm your search criteria is satisfactory; Click OK
      2. Map Search
        1. Verify MLS Board
        2. Choose from saved map searches or select new map search (circle, polygon, etc.)
          1. Enter search criteria
          2. Draw map; name map; click OK
  • Click OK at search results
  1. Review results to confirm appropriate properties are found (you do not select properties for this automated report, just confirm your search criteria is satisfactory) and click OK

 Step 4: HomeFinder Pro Details

    1. Fill in the requested fields
      1. Leave expiration date blank to have HomeFinder Pro continue indefinitely
      2. Email frequency
        1. Immediate or 1 day is best for serious buyers (1 day goes out early each morning)
        2. Longer interval is ideal for those who are not able to narrow home choice down immediately (out of area, relocation, etc.)
      3. Maximum number of listings per email: Usually only the first email will possibly contain dozens
      4. Unsubscribed: Should be set at no for setup
      5. Copy agent: Do you want to be emailed a CC with each notification your client receives?
    2. Click Next

Step 5: Save and Close

 1. Click OK at Record Created message; you will be returned to the client HF/PIP window
