End of Year Website Evaluation
With your 2017 business plan most likely in development, part of your 2016 ‘to do’ list should include evaluating the effectiveness of your agent website. Does your website support your new 2017 business plan? Do you concentrate on one or more target markets? If so, how easy is it for website visitors to reach supporting pages for those markets?
Here are some helpful guidelines regarding evaluating your website:
- Take an hour or two and review your website:
- Read every page
- Is the content appropriate for the page?
- Correct misspellings.
- Test every link
- Does the link work?
- Does the link assist your message?
- Evaluate navigation tab titles and page titles
- Do they engage the website visitor to click on them? (Titles are easily enhanced at the Pages sub-tab of Site Builder Content).
- Do you have navigation tabs for target markets?
- Think like the website visitor—“Would I stay or would I go?”
- Read every page
- Write down ideas for more robust and personal information to display.
- Research what materials and links are already available in house—BHHSNW Real Estate provides a tremendous amount of resources you can access for assistance.
If you take action to implement the necessary changes in your end-of-year website review, it will definitely benefit your business in 2017!
